Capacity Building Workshop on Musical Heritage of Nubra Valley, Ladakh

The Himalayan Club, in collaboration with the Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation (HCHF), is organising a 10-day Capacity Building Workshop on the Musical Heritage of Nubra Valley, Ladakh.

 

22–31 October 2026, 10am to 4pm

Buddha Eco Park, Sumoor, Nubra Valley, Ladakh

 

The workshop will provide hands-on training in traditional musical traditions, including:

 

Nyaopa Tses

Traditional Folk Songs and Dances

Daman & Surna

 

The training will be imparted by Legendary Musician Ghulam Mohammad of Sumoor, Nubra, a renowned repository of the valley’s traditional musical heritage.
