Kílian Jornet has just completed one of the most extraordinary endurance feats ever recorded in the Alps. In an unprecedented challenge, he climbed 82 peaks above 4000 meters in just 19 days. During this period while not climbing he commuted between peaks solely by bike—no cars or helicopters used.
Over 19 days, Jornet covered 1200 km’s and spent 15 hours a day in motion. The most astounding part? He achieved a vertical ascent of 75,000 meters—equivalent to climbing Mount Everest eight times.
This incredible feat demonstrates the extraordinary potential of human endurance and effort.
