Kolkata
The Kolkata Section is one of the most Active Sections which holds seminars and lectures throughout the year besides annual major Expedition, the Rock-Climbing Camp and treks. The popular events of the Kolkata section include the Founder’s Day Lecture Series, Sarat Chandra Das Memorial Lecture Series and the annual screening of the Banff Mountain Film Festival.
The Section has a full-fledged climbing equipment store, sufficient for a 10-member climbing team for major Himalayan Climbing Expeditions and an Honorary Assistant Equipment Officer on behalf of the club who takes care of this equipment’s safe keeping and issue to the members.
The Section members meet every month and exchange their experiences, adventures and ideas at the Club Office which houses the Library and Equipment store.
