Delhi Section Talk: Denali - The High One by Ankur Bahl and Sangeeta Sindhi

In 2011, ex seafarer Capt. Ankur Bahl and his wife Sangeeta Sindhi, an image consultant, stood atop Mt Kilimanjaro (19341ft), the roof of Africa. Motivated to attain loftier goals they then decided to embark on an exciting journey of doing 'The Seven Summits'. After having summitted 3 of the 7 summits they attempted Mt McKinley ( 20,237ft), also known as Denali, in June 2014.

Captain Ankur Bahl will give an illustrated talk on their adventurous story, on the trials and tribulations they went through on this very tough and fully unsupported climb for three weeks braving many a storm, which included exhaustion, injury, and an inhospitable Arctic environment.

The talk will be followed by a Q&A session with Ankur and Sangeeta. Ankur and Sangeeta would like to inspire more people to venture out of the comfort of their homes into the outdoors and attempt challenges around the world, be it in trekking, climbing, skiing, or any other sport or activity, which they believe, would add an enriching dimension to people's lives.
